Message:   I was very excited to find this forum recently, to talk to other hygienists about new products and workplace issues. I am passionate about this profession, and further I work in an office where I do not bonus on production nor do I work comission. I use and promote arestin regularly because IT WORKS. I am 100% patient oriented and I would NEVER recommend a treatment based on anything other than the patient's best interests. I have worked with the product for several years and it did take some practice to perfect the technique to administer it but the benefits of the treatment far outweigh the cost or difficulty. I appreciate that everyone has opinions and it is great to hear them. However, just because some do not agree with my standpoint does not mean that I or anyone else who uses this product are just trying to make money. I am sure there are some out there that use arestin, desensitizing, etc as money makers and that is truly a shame. My office has a wonderful perio program with great compliance and results and the reason for that is because we build relationships with our patients and they know that they can trust us.
