I am looking for the burial location of Eli Faneif of Hartford, VT. He enlisted in the 1st VT HART/11th VT 15 december,1863 and died of disease on 6 January,1865. I read one account that he was captured and survived Andewrsonville but died and was buried in the Annapolis National Cemetery in MD. I read aniother account which said that he died in the Maryland U S General Hospital Division 1 Annapolis, MD on 6 January,1865. It indicates that "his body was disenterred and given to a friend". Can anyone confirm where he is actually buriued? Thank you |
