I have learned that my Vermont Civil War ancestor Alfred Jacobs, 2nd VT INF, Co. K) was in the Bradford GAR post (#17 I believe?) after the war. I can't find any research that might provide me more insight about Alfred's post-war experiences. Does anybody know where I can find more info about the Vermont GAR? I believe Alfred attended the national encampment in Boston in 1903.
