Message:   I had large amount of family in the Civil War the last name was "Prouty". Some did end up at Andersonville, Ga.

Charles D. Prouty--Captured at the battle of Plymouth, nc, April 20th, 1864. He was 21 years old from Milford, Massachusetts. Enlisted on Sep 1st, 1863. He survived his ordeal at Andersonville and was mustered out at new bern, nc on June 26th, 1865.

His regiment was the 2nd Massachusets Heavy Artillery. He was in company "G".
