For historical study purposes, you should consider photocopying the letters and donating the copies to the United States Army Military History Institute located at Carlisle Barracks in Pennsylvania. They have enormous holdings in Civil War soldier letters/diaries and are the leading port-of-call for anyone conducting Civil War military research. |
