Alpha Austin was a Wagoner in Co. B 10th VT Rgt. He died of disease on 8/18/1863. He is buried in Alexanria,VA National Cemetery, Marker # 9256.
The 10th Rgt did not see any action until 11/27/1863 at Orange Grove, VA so Alpha never saw any combat. If you would like to read more about the 10th, the website has a complte history. Hope this helps you.
