It has become very hard to keep a "clean" message board these days. Take a look at the CRAP you find on the Google Newsgroup boards! I had to add in the extra security measure to somewhat insure that the SPAMMERS don't jam the board with their garbage.
We have all made our share of mistakes over the years posting one thing or another on the web, but this continual assault on our once pristine resource has destroyed the ability to keep the boards operating.
In the early days of the web one could post their message concerning an item for sale and it would have been in the proper category and there was no SPAM screwing up the system. We all had a chance to a "level playing field" then. Now because of the SPAMMERS we find the boards are drying up or you have to pay to post. |
