Habitation Certificates Phase 2 El Rey Enix
A little bit of good news we hope. We recently asked our Solicitors for proof that the Developer had actually applied for the Habitation Certificates and the Solicitors emailed us a copy of the Application forwarded to them by the Developer. It shows that the Application is stamped by the Town Hall on 25th April 2007 and is applying for the Certificates for 18 semi-detached houses and 1 detached dwelling which are the amount of houses on Phase 2. Surely now that 10 weeks have elapsed it cannot take too much longer to process the Certificates even in Spain! Please let us know if anyone has any other new information. Take care Jillian & Paul Coupe |

Hello Jillian & Paul, good news for you, now you know that the licences have been applied for Phase 2, In theory once the new mayor has been signed in at the Enix Town Hall you should be getting your completion dates. The lastest news I have for Phase 1 is that there may be another delay and it is looking more like October for us before completion. There is nothing anybody can do but to wait and keep your fingers crossed and pray that somebody up there likes you. Keep in touch, David & Barbara. |

Hello Jillian & Paul, Just a quickie to keep you both up to date, we have not had any further update's from anybody on what is going on up there in Elrey since our last correspondence, I can't believe it takes the Mayor so long to come into office, I know they have a festival in August at Enix somewhere around the 11th or 12th but I do not know if the new Mayor will take part. The only recent news I have and this was nearly 3 weeks ago is that Gestion may have some news on completion dates sometime in August, mind you they have been telling me this since last November so I do not expect to much information and more than likely nothing at all. All for now, if Elrey falls flat we can always buy a Caravan. David & Barbara. |

Just had 2 weeks holiday in Roquetas. Bernie took us up to the development. It looks absolutely superb. The views are stunning!! We managed to have a real heart to heart with our solicitor while we were there. The houses on phase 2 are completed and ready to move into. It's correct that habitation licences were applied for months ago. Apparently the new mayor is a stickler for regulations (which can only be good for us). There is a public right-of-way which runs through the development. The builders have either blocked it off or built on it!! The new mayor refuses to issue licences until this path is restored so everything is in the hands of Gestion Town Planning. As no building work is undertaken during August there is no chance of an imminent solution!! It loks like maybe Sep/Oct. We'll have to wait and see. |

Hello, we have just seen the message from Sonny & Liz about a blocked public right of way through Elrey, this is not good news for those us who are desperately trying to complete. If Gestion feel that they may not responsible for the blockage due to a drawing error made by the architect, and if what Liz say's about the new Mayor being a stickler for rules and regulations this saga could go to court, which then could take years to resolve. Our only hope is that Gestion will see sense and make good the right of way as soon possible, I am sure they would like nothing more than to get their hands on the remainder of the money we owe them. Regards, David & Barbara. |
