Dear David and Barbara Thanks for your message. In reply to your question we bought our property in 2003 from Palmera Properties in Benelmadena. We are no. 18 phase 2 and like yourselves were told completion would be March. In readiness we started buying all the lightweight things we will be able to take over in suitcases bedding and towels etc. our spare room has consequently looked like a jumble sale for months! We have also booked flights out on the 20th August to 11th September so sincerely hope that everything is sorted out well before then as we will have to look for alternative accommodation otherwise! We really do feel that it is the town hall that is casuing the delay as the site was well underway to completion at the beginning of March when we last went over. Our property was ready apart from 2nd stage electrics and the pointing of the rear wall. The 8 townhouses opposite were also well underway. So we fully belived that completion would be the end of March. Lets keep our fingers crossed that everything gets sorted out as soon as possible now as the delay is taking away a lot of the pleasure now. Keep in touch and we will let you know as soon as we have any more information and trust you will do the samme. Regards Jillian and Paul |

Hello Jillian & Paul, Thank you for the message, I have just recently sent an email to Susan & Martin Duffy who are your next door neighbours at Elrey they have bought No 17 on Phase 2.Like the both of us they are also very concerned to what is going on, there is very little feedback from anybody, you would have thought by now that the builders would like the rest of our money!!! but not a thing. The only information I have managed to find out, is that the licences for Elrey are processed at Almeria then rubber stamped at Enix Townhall, we do hope the applications for the licences have been applied for by now. We spend the winters in Spain, last year we rented an apartment for 5 months at San Juan which is about 1 hour north of Roquetas, if we have not completed by September we will not be able to bring the remainder of the furniture over from the UK, I will have to cancel the arrangement I had made with Gary. I am sure everything will be alright in the end, Take care, David & Barbara. |
