Remember it well! Came on board when she was in the Brooklyn Ship Yard red hook district of NewYork. A 3rd class BM. left shortly after her Med cruise 1965 a 1st class BM: She was good to me. met allot of friends long gone from memory. Lt Mullen was the 1st Lt. and I ended up in the second division after almost a year in the first.
My career spanded 1960 thru 1969, then I came back for another small tour of Vietnam on board the USS Paul Revere: I loved the navy and it was good to me.
