That depends. Look in the first couple of pages of the publication - there should be a notice of open game content. Some products (Wheel of Time, Sword and Fist, Star Wars D20) do not contain ANY open game content - this means that no one can reproduce the text.
Other gaming worlds or systems could have their OGC converted to DM Genie. In fact, you can use the functions in DM Genie to do it yourself. Feel free to send us your work (upload@dmgenie.com) and we will post it on the website.

- How do I import a character from another program or from an adventure?
Most programs provide you with a way to create a stat block. Simply open the New Creature window (F5), select the "Create from Stat Block" tab, copy/paste the stat block, and press Add Creature.
DM Genie supports the Core Rules format of stat blocks, as well as the d20 Standard Stat Block. In addition, any item can be omitted, or entered in any order. See the help file for details.

- Can you add support for Wound Points/Vitality Points?
Unfortunately no. The Vitality/Wound Point system is from Star Wars D20 (and a few other D20 games) and was not distributes by WotC as Open Game Content. This means that we cannot reproduce this in DM Genie. I suggest that you use the HP and Subdual boxes to record the VP/WP, but unfortunately this has to be done manually.

- How do I create a new Feat in DM Genie?
Use the "Customize-> New Feat" menu. You can edit the feat's description from the "Feats" tab in the Main Window. If you want your feat to adjust your PC automatically, click the "Edit" button to edit the VBScript code for it.
From the Customize menu you can also create new spells, powers and skills.

- How do I create a new Class?
Open the Class Editor (Shift-F2). You can create a new class from scratch by using the "Create Blank" button, or copy an existing one with the "Copy" button.
Once your new class is created, move from tab to tab to edit all the class' data, like BAB, Saves, Skills, etc. Once it is complete you can use it to add levels to your PCs.

Right now you have to enter the data manually (or copy/paste text when possible) but we're hoping to include this feature in a future update.

- What monsters aren't included with DM Genie?
Wizards of the Coast has unfortunately NOT released the following monsters as OGC: beholder, gauth, carrion crawler, displacer beast, githyanki, githzerai, mind flayer, illithid, umber hulk, yuan-ti. Since these are not Open Game Content they cannot be legally included in DM Genie or Player Genie. You can manually enter their data by typing in the important stats in the Race Editor, so that you can use them later in your campaign.
