  3. What if I want to get a reminder of something that isn't a condition?
You can use one of the 6 custom counters available for each creature. Go to the "Conditions" tab and enter your reminder in the text boxes below the condition check boxes. Then, enter the number of rounds until the expiration of your reminder. For example, you could enter "Breath Weapon" and roll 1d4 rounds to remind yourself of when a dragon will be able to use it's breath weapon. For longer-time reminders, use the Reminders tab from the Timekeeping window (F11). You can set a reminder for any amount of time, from 1 second to 1 millenia.

From the Items tab, select "Armor" in the item type box, and then select your desired armor. Magical version of all regular armors (from +1 to +5) are available. To add a special armor ability, you need to rename the armor after you have added it, and adjust the price. Only the equipped (bold) armors and shield will be used to improve the PC's AC. You shouldn't equip more than one armor or shield at a time.

  14. Why are some of my favorite monsters missing from the database?
Wizards of the Coast has made a few monsters not Open Game Content (OGC). As such, it is not legally possible to include their data in DM Genie. These monsters include the beholder, gauth, carrion crawler, displacer beast, githyanki, githzerai, mind flayer, umber hulk, yuan-ti. You can however enter the data into DM Genie by copying from the MM into the Race Editor. Once they are entered you can use the race to create monsters based on it.

  15. Can DM Genie handle Wizard Specialization?
Partially. If you check the Specialization box in the Spells part of the Leveling Wizard you will get the extra spell per day (if the class offers it). Specialization restrictions to learning/memorizing spells cannot be handled by DM Genie since choosing which spells is done manually by the user anyway.

  16. How do I handle Two-Weapon fighting?
First, set the "Hand Used" boxes for each weapon: the main weapon gets "Pri. Hand w/2 weapons" and the second weapon is set as "Off-hand". The attack penalties will be calculated automatically. When in combat, first use the attacks you get for the primary weapon. Then switch to the secondary and use only its first attack. Feats like "Two-Weapon Fighting" and "Ambidextry" have their effect automatically handled.
